TASTING
Wine of an exceptional behaviour and an astonishing sap, a balance and
a rare smoothness. Wrap coloured well with ambrÈes nuances.
LOCATION OF THE VINEYARD
Clos des Menuts is part of one of Saint-Emilion oldest estates. It is situated on one of the highest points at 90 m.
STOCK OF VINES:
A harmonious mix of Merlot 70% and Cabernet Sauvignon 30%.
Average age of the vineyard : 30 years
VINIFICATION:
Traditional methods are used for the vinification.
There is a new cellar built in 1980.
The vineyard ultramodern equipment allows the fermentation process to be controlled at the desired temperature ( 82 to 86 Degree F) depending on the year.
AGEING :
Conserved in oak barrels in the large medieval cellars dug into the rock. This Wine also enjoy a long ageing process at an ideal and constant temperature of 53 degree F.
